7/1/21 – This is an beautiful example of a “Black Widow” Mauser Luger rig issued to the Nazi military in 1941. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 655” military proofs. The rig comes with a rare minty 1942-dated pigskin holster, an Eagle 655 tool, and two correct magazines. This holster is not only rare because it is made of pigskin but because it was made in 1942 and was given a magazine pouch that could accommodate a luger or P.38 magazine. The holster was made in 1942, right before they switched to P.38 production. This change would allow them to fit either gun. The gun has retained about 97% of its original bluing. There is minor wear around the muzzle, side plate, and front edges of the frame. A few very small handling marks on the front strap. Comes with excellent black widow grips. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling and a few areas of very light freckling.
