9/12/24 – This is a great example of an original WW2 Messerschmitt Bf-109 control stick. The Bf-109 was one of the backbone aircraft of the German Luftwaffe in WW2. The Bf-109 was in service from the late 1939 all the way till the end of the war, and was one of the most advanced and feared fighter aircraft of it’s generation. The Bf-109 was flown by the top German ace of WW2, Erich Hartmann, who was credited with 352 victories. This control stick’s buttons all are capable of being operated and have not seized up. The spring for the machine gun/cannon trigger is still strong. The data plate is still present on this stick and is marked with the following ” Baumuster KG 13A, Gerat-Nr 102-228A, Werk-Nr. 52376, Anforderz FI 47915, Hersteller ngk” . The stick still maintains almost all of its original black paint finish, but does have areas where this paint is missing and chipped away.
