4/4/23 – This is an original WW2 German Army Dagger by Alcoso. The dagger comes complete with an original scabbard, belt hanger, and silver portepee. The dagger blade is in very good overall condition with visible cross graining throughout. There’s areas of dark speckling discoloration on each side of the blade, but this is generally mild patina. Maker marked by Alcoso on one side of the base. The hand guard has surface patina and discoloration throughout, but there are traces of the original finish still intact. The pommel has similar wear and condition. The bakelite handle has no cracks or chips. The portepee is in excellent condition with some mild aging wear but no notable flaws. The scabbard has normal surface wear and discoloration but no dents or major issues. The hanger is D.R.G.M. stamped on each clip as well as the belt hook, as shown. Nice oak leaf pattern and clean hanging chords.
