4/21/23 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser P.38 put together by the French using leftover Nazi parts immediately after WW2. This one is all matching and has an extremely faint import mark on the right side of the frame. There is a French star on the right side of the slide, and there is one “Eagle 359” Nazi military acceptance proof on the barrel, indicating it was made by Walther. There is also an “Eagle BH” proof on the left side of the frame, indicating it was issued to the Austrian military. It has retained about 96% of its finish with minor wear around the muzzle and around the high edges of the slide. Fitted with excellent blackish-brown bakelite grips and comes with a post-war magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
