02/12/2024 – For sale is a P.38 pistol made at the Mauser factory during French Occupation after WW2. The French would occupy the facility and continue production. These handguns are often referred to as Grey Goose guns. This example is matching and sports the aluminum slab grips. The slide is marked Byf 44 but these were assembled after the war with left over parts. The right side of the handgun is stamped with a star near the eagle proof signifying a French Proof. The bore is fully frosted over with good rifling.
