03/04/2024 – For sale is a French Bertheir Model 1907-15 chambered in 8x50r Lebel that was produced in 1917. The Berthier rifle was the rifle adopted after the famous Lebel 1886 rifle. These rifles originally started with a 3-round en-bloc magazine but were updated to 5 rounds during WW1. This rifle has the 5-round upgrade. This rifle is mismatched but is clean throughout on the exterior. Much of the original bluing remains and the stock is free of cracks. There is a dent on the left side of the butt stock and also a repair was made there. The bore is very dark with rifling visible shining light through it. The rear sling swivel has been removed and plugged and the front sling swivel is missing along with the stacking rod.
