10/5/21 – This is a scarce and interesting FN Model 1910 that likely has quite the story to tell. The slide features a bow and arrow proof over the number ’31’, and the front grip strap has a crossed out arsenal number. The right side of the trigger guard is Eagle/Su21 marked, and the barrel is obviously extended as compared to standard production. The order of operations here may be tough to verify, but it appears it was imported to Prague in 1931, and perhaps the number on grip frame is from the Czech police. The waffenamt on right side is a Simson proof, and it seems possible that Simson was responsible for the 1.25in longer barrel variation. Having started out as a commercial pistol in Belgium, it would appear this one has been all over Europe and served various roles. The finish is original but thin in several areas, and shows patches of pitting on the rear left side of frame and slide, back of frame and right side of slide on the rounded portion. Grips show age and some smoothing but no major defects. Excellent bore.
