3/2/23 – This is an excellent example of a “fantasy” Navy-style Luger chambered in .30 Luger. The frame was made by DWM and started its life during WW1 when it was issued to the Imperial German military, as evidenced by very faint Imperial proofs on the right side of the slide. The 6″ Navy-style barrel is an un-numbered replacement with a “Germany” export marking. The rear sight was replaced with a Navy-style adjustable sight. All numbered parts are matching, but many parts are un-numbered. The entire gun was restored and refinished, so the bluing and strawed finish on the small parts is really nice. There is virtually no actual finish loss, but there are some tiny pits under the bluing on the barrel and on the front strap. Fitted with excellent wood grips and comes with a post-war Navy-style magazine. The bore has decent rifling with minor frosting throughout.
