07/16/2024 – For sale is a No5 Mk1 “Jungle Carbine” used by the British Commonwealth during and after WW2. These carbines were designed as a shortened & lightened Lee Enfield rifle to make it easier to use in the jungles of Asia. This rifle has all the correct features for a No5 Mk1. The rifle had undergone “Factory Through Repair” and has been refurbished at the arsenal. The overall condition is excellent. The rifle is matching on the receiver, bolt, and stock. The wood furniture is in excellent condition with a couple pressure marks visible. the bore is very bright with great rifling. There is an import mark on the right side of the barrel.
