6/5/23 – This is an original WW2 production German Army Officer’s Dagger. The dagger is in great overall condition. The blade shows some visible cross-graining but there are light surface scratches throughout as well as some dark oxidation and discoloration. This is surface speckling and located mostly near the tip of the blade. The edges are in great condition with no signs of sharpening. The hand guard has light traces of original finish still present, with normal surface patina and high edge wear. The pommel is in similar condition. The bakelite handle has a hairline crack at the base, but no other notable issues. One of the screws is missing from the mouth-area of the scabbard.
