6/14/23 – This is a near-mint example of an “experimental” Colt Series 70 Government Model. It has an x-prefix serial number, and comes with the Colt archives letter stating this pistol was an experimental example kept by the Colt factory. The serial dates it to ~1998 but the pistol was finally shipped out by Colt in 2008. It has minor surface scuffs in several areas, and a minor spot of wear on top of the slide. Minty bore. Excellent grips aside from a gouge in the left panel.
