6/14/23 – This is a near-mint example of an “experimental” Colt Series 70 Government Model. It has an x-prefix serial number, and comes with the Colt archives letter stating this pistol was an experimental example kept by the Colt factory. The serial dates it to ~1998 but the pistol was finally shipped out by Colt in 2008. It shows very little finish loss, just minor surface scuffs in a few areas. Minty bore and grips.
