10/19/20 – This is an excellent example of a Walther P.38 rig, issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The rig comes with a minty, 1944-dated holster and two magazines. One of the magazines is period-correct, the other is post-war. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” Nazi military acceptance proofs. It is also fully functional, including the de-cocker. It has retained about 95-96% of its original bluing. There is minor muzzle wear, wear on the high edges of the slide, and thinning on the front strap, right side of the frame, and trigger guard. Some mild patina visible on the front strap. There are areas of spotty oxidation and pin-pricking on the webbing of the trigger guard and top plate. There is an area of minor pitting on the right side of the slide. Excellent, period-correct grips. The bore is very nice – strong rifling with some areas of minor freckling.
