11/10/21 – This is an excellent example of a Walther Model 5. This one has a late serial number, which puts its date of production in the early 1920’s. It is all matching and has the proper “Crown N” commercial proofs. It has retained about 97% of its original finish. There are just hints of wear on the high edges and around the muzzle. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is minor pitting along the whole slide and minor freckling on both grip straps. Comes with excellent period-correct grips and one proper magazine. The bore is very nice – excellent rifling with some areas of very minor frosting.
