11/19/21 – This is an excellent example of a Springfield M1903 Mark I. The receiver dates to 1919. The barrel is Springfield Armory-marked and dated January of 1920. The stock has a “Square P” proof and has a “C-SAA” arsenal rework stamp on the right side. The gun has retained most of its parkerized finish. There are some tiny handling marks on the barrel and front barrel band. Thinning in the finish on the floor plate. The stock is nice with minor dings and dents throughout – a few more noticeable gouges in the wood here and there. The bore has decent rifling with spotty oxidation throughout. Comes with a nice 1944-dated green canvas sling.
