05/29/2024 – For sale is a special Krag Model 1898 rifle made in 1899. This rifle has been researched and found to be issued to Private Charles H. Rabe of Company F of the 34th US Volunteer Infantry, who was stationed in the Philippines from 1899-1901. This rifle is in an overall 97% condition with wear on the receiver, magazine gate, and patina on the barrel bands. The rifle was reworked with a repair on the handguard and the stock is lightly sanded and the acceptance proof is missing. There is a Circle P stamp on the wrist area. The bore is bright but becomes darker towards the muzzle. There is a letter from the Archival Research Group which had researched and found the history of this specific rifle.
