10/30/23 – This is an excellent condition US Model 1903 made at the Springfield arsenal in 1932. This rifle looks fresh from the arsenal and is in immaculate shape. The receiver was made in 1927 but the barrel was made in May of 1932. The parkerized finish is in great shape with minimal finish loss. The only place of note is some wear on the bluing on the top of the barrel. The scant-style stock is also in excellent shape with a sharp Circle P stamp on the wrist area. There are two small blemishes on the stock where the bolt meets the stock in the closed position, and the front right side of the handguard has a small mark. The bore is mirror bright with very sharp rifling.
