4/5/23 – This is an excellent example of a Smith and Wesson Victory Revolver issued to the US Navy during WW2. It is all matching and has the proper “US Navy” marking on the top strap. It comes as a rig with a scarce 1943-dated USN marked shoulder holster, a US Navy Property marked ammo pouch, six .38 Special cartridges, and a US Navy marked aviator’s kit. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original parkerized finish. Generally, there is wear around the high edges, some minor thinning along the barrel, and tiny scratches and handling marks throughout. Some light oxidation on the left side of the muzzle. Very nice case-hardening on the small parts. Nice wood grips – not numbered. The name “CD Hayward” is stamped on the frame under the grips. Mint bore.
