3/7/23 – This is an excellent example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1945. It is “United States Property” marked, has a cross-canon military cartouche, and has the proper “FJA” military inspector initials. Correct High Standard barrel that has been parkerized. The gun comes as a rig with a nice 1943-dated Graton & Knight holster (name written on the front) and one period-correct “S” marked magazine. The gun itself has retained about 97% of its parkerized finish. There is very minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges. A few scuffs and tiny spots of wear here and there along the slide. Some light handling marks on the front strap and minor pin-pricking on both grip straps. Fitted with very nice period-correct reddish plastic grips – some very light scuffing on the left side. Near-mint bore.
