1/19/23 – This is an excellent example of a rare Walther Mod P.38 sold in the commercial market during WW2. This one is all matching and has the proper “Eagle N” proofs. This gun is rare as only 1,800 were produced. It has retained about 96-97% of its plumb-colored finish. There is very minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges of the slide. One tiny streak of wear on the front strap. There are a few small spots of minor pitting on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent reddish period-correct bakelite grips and an “Eagle 359” marked magazine – It has “052” post-factory numbering on the base that does not match the gun. The bore has very strong rifling, but there is very minor pin-pricking here and there. De-cocker is functional.
