4/23/24 – This is an excellent example of a rare Walther Mod HP sold in the commercial market in the late 1940’s. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle N” proofs throughout. Interestingly enough, this gun has a “Waffen 76” marked Czech FNH barrel that is also “Eagle N” proofed. We weren’t able to find any information about this variation in the books. It has retained about 96-97% of its original finish. The bluing on the frame has a nice plum tint to it. Nearly all of the wear is on the front strap, so the profile views are minty. The base of the front strap has a casting flaw that is commonly found on these late-war guns. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. Comes with a scarce late-war “U” marked magazine. Stone-mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
