8/18/23 – This is an excellent, original Colt 1911 from 1917. It’s a little difficult to rate as there’s minor thinning sprinkled in, but the bluing rates at about 92-94% with the most pronounced finish loss on the mainspring housing and front strap. Correct Colt barrel with disconnected ‘P H’ markings, and a strong, shiny bore. Nice grips with no cracks, just minor handling wear. Proper two-tone mag.
