12/1/20 – This is an excellent example of a commercial Mauser Model 1914, chambered in 7.65mm. It is all matching and is “Crown U” proofed. This one has retained about 97% of its original bluing. There is minor wear around the muzzle and spotty oxidation throughout. It is most noticeable on the front strap and back of the slide. The fire-bluing on the small parts is still mostly in tact. Comes with an excellent wood grip and proper magazine. The bore is very nice – strong rifling with just very minor freckling in the grooves.
