11/21/22 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser Model 1914 sold in the commercial market in the 1920’s. It is all matching and has the proper “Crown U” commercial proofs. It comes as a rig with two period-correct magazines and a generic tan leather holster. The gun itself has retained about 97% of its original finish with very minor wear on some of the high edges and very light spotty wear on the front strap. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are areas of light spotty oxidation on the right side of the frame and on the front grip strap. Comes with a nice period-correct wood grip – there are no cracks or major damage, but there are a few tiny bruises on the right side. The bore is very nice – strong rifling with very minor fouling in the grooves.
