07/23/2024 – For sale is a Luxembourg Contract FN 49 rifle chambered in .30-06. Luxembourg would place a contract for these rifles in 1950 with a total of 6203 rifles produced. This rifle is towards the tail end of the contract run. This rifle is in excellent condition with a deep black enamel paint finish on the metal. The majority of the wear on the metal is on the magazine. The stock is excellent and FN proofed in front of the magazine. The receiver, bolt, and top cover are matching. The bore is bright but about 4 inches in from the muzzle, some pitting is visible. There is some corrosion around the buttplate.
