3/28/24 – This is an excellent example of a Luftwaffe Paratrooper / Fallschirmjager Gravity Knife from WW2. This example has a clean blade, nice handle, smooth action, lockup, and functionality. The blade has some mild surface scratches and scuffs, but is clean throughout with a SMF maker stamp and visible cross-graining. Sharpened edge. The release lever and sidebar are matching numbered, and function well. The wood handle has no cracks. Although it does have three minor dents, one on the right and two on the left (see photos). The wood handle and frame has some chips/dents on the bottom right where the foldout spike pivots, mainly on the right side. The foldout spike is in excellent condition as well with a Luftwaffe proof stamp on the base.
