6/7/22 – This is an excellent example of a “last-ditch” Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military at the very end of WW2. It is all matching and has the proper late war features such as crude bolt handle, peep rear sight, wood butt plate, and rough machining throughout. The imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been ground. There is very little actual finish loss, but there are tiny dots of oxidation and light brown patina throughout. Excellent stock. The foregrip is a little loose and wiggles a little bit. Mint bore.
