10/4/17 – This is an excellent condition G Date luger with 2 matching magazines. I think I have only seen one other with both REAL matching magazines in 20 years of collecting. This one is early so it comes with the desirable S/92 and W/154 proofs on the receiver. The finish is at about 98% with a small spot on the left side frame. This is smooth to the touch so a splash of solvent or oxidation probably caused this. Comes with two correct matching magazines, and all small parts are numbered to match the gun. The grips are also numbered to the pistol. The straw color parts are also original and retain 70% of their color. Bore is shiny and excellent – as it should be. Comes with a rare 1935 dated holster which alone is worth $1500! The holster is numbered to the gun – I have not seen this before except on police lugers. Belt loops are fatter than most holsters, but this is a rare and seldom encountered maker. Finally, this rig includes a correct G date tool with S/92 proof. It also has an ‘S/42G’ proof above the original proof, maybe to denote it was a replacement tool.
