3/13/24 – This is an original, pre WW1 production French M1866 Sword Rifle bayonet with a numbered scabbard. The bayonet blade is in excellent condition with very little surface wear. There’s no signs of sharpening. The cross guard has no patina or pitting just some minor surface scratches The original brass handle is in great condition serial numbered “E 160”. The cross guard is serial numbered “R 13120” and the scabbard, “X 71413” as shown. The scabbard has light wear and dark patina throughout but no major issues, smooth finish, no oxidation or pitting.
