9/14/21 – This is an excellent example of a Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2, in 1945. This is a GI-mismatched gun in the proper “C” serial block. It only has one “Eagle 359” military proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never actually issued to the Nazi military. It has proper end-of-war features such as phosphate small parts and a cog-style hammer. Both the barrel and locking block are un-numbered. It has retained about 96% of its original finish. There is minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Some light spotty wear on the barrel. Just a hint of thinning and freckling on the front strap. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct jvd magazine. Stone-mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
