10/29/24 – This is an excellent example of an end-of-war AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs. This one has a rare “Waffen 76” marked barrel, indicating it was made at the Czech FNH factory. It has all the proper late-war features, such as rough machining, cog-style hammer, and phosphate small parts. It has retained about 95% of its original finish – virtually all of the wear on the front strap. The profile views are mint. The grip colors do not match – the left is black and the right is reddish-brown. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional. It comes as a rig with an un-issued 1945-dated holster, one “Waffen 706” magazine, and one blank magazine.
