10/30/20 – This is an excellent example of an early Walther PP made for the commercial market in 1931. The gun is all matching, has “Crown N” proofs, and has many early features including an extended barrel, 90 degree safety, and a large-ring hammer. The gun has retained about 96-97% of its original bluing. There is minor muzzle wear, wear on some of the high edges of the slide, spotty wear on the straps, and minor wear on the tang and base of the back strap. There is minor pin-pricking on the straps. There are light handling marks along the top edge of both sides of the slide, a couple of small dots of discoloration on the right side of the slide, and one area of wear on the right side toward the back of the slide. It comes with excellent Walther grips. Also comes with an early slab-side black finger extension with an open follower. The bore is nice – shiny with strong rifling, just some minor freckling in the grooves.
