1/7/22 – This is an excellent, all original 1906 DWM American Eagle Luger, chambered in .30 Luger. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these Lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale. This particular gun has retained about 95% of its original bluing. Most of the finish loss is on the side plate, but there is also minor wear on the side rails, around the muzzle, and along the left side of the barrel. Some light scratches on the right side of the barrel and right side rail. Spotty freckling on the front edges of the side rails and on the grip straps. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips that are numbered but do not match the gun. Also comes with a properly-blank wood bottom magazine. The bore is excellent – shiny with strong rifling.
