6/25/24 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser BYF 44 P.38 issued to the Nazi Military in 1944. This pistol has a beautiful dual tone finish with phosphate slide, frame, and a blued barrel. The pistol has retained about 94-95% of its finish, with wear on the high edges of the slide, and very slight thinning on the front strap. Some minor areas of discoloration, characteristic of these dual tone examples, along the slide. The gun is all matching, with proper “Waffen 135” proofs and a correct “U marked” magazine. Minty bore, shiny with strong rifling. Proper black plastic grips. De-cocker functions properly.
