06/05/2024 – For sale is a rare example of an all-correct October of 1941 Winchester M1 Garand. This rifle exhibits all the early WW2 M1 production features; flush-nut rear sight, scarce 1 piece buttplate (no trapdoor), grooved barrel bands, uncut uprod, and an excellent WRA/WB cartouch with the large cross cannons stamp. The drawing numbers are correct on this rifle to other known examples of this production month. The breakdown of the drawing numbers is included in the photo album. The overall finish is excellent on the rifle with the gas cylinder heavily worn and in bare metal. The bore is bright but it is frosted at the muzzle. The muzzle erosion reads a 4 and the throat erosion is 2.5.
