6/8/22 – This is an excellent example of a Colt Government Model 1911A1 sold in the commercial market in 1926. The barrel is marked “Colt 45 Auto Match”. It has retained about 94-95% of its original beautiful Colt high polish bluing. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also very minor wear around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Some minor spotty wear on the grip safety. Comes with minty wood grips and a period-correct two-tone magazine. The bore has strong rifling with just minor freckling here and there.
