1/7/22 – This is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1917 Revolver issued to the US military during WW1. It is all matching, correct, and has the proper “United States Property” marking on the underside of the barrel. It also has the proper “Eagle Head S20” military acceptance proof on the left side of the frame. The cylinder is tight and the action is smooth. The gun has retained about 95% of its parkerized finish. There is some light scratchy wear around the muzzle, hints of wear around the high edges in general, an area of very minor thinning on the left side of the frame, and some minor thinning on the grip straps. A few light scratches on the butt of the frame. There are areas of light spotty oxidation on the right side of the barrel and on the grip straps. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips – some dings and scratches. Lanyard loop is intact. The bore is mint.
