12/1/22 – This is an original German Heer Army Dagger, complete with an original portepee and hanger. The dagger blade is excellent condition with strong cross-graining throughout and a maker stamp by Anton Wingen Jr. on one side. There is some mild scabbard rub wear and some speckling near the base of the blade, but this is very minor. The cross guard and pommel are in great condition with some light surface patina throughout. The handle has no cracks or chips, but there is a side of the handle that looks somewhat indented or pressed – shown in photos. The scabbard is excellent with no dents or issues. The portepee has a tight knot and rope with little to no fraying. The hanger is in mint, unissued condition with no markings or stamps.
