1/6/21 – This is an excellent example of a Japanese Type 44 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. This one has a completely in tact mum stamp on the receiver. Most of the parts are mismatched including the bayonet and bolt. The metal parts are in beautiful condition, just minor oxidation here and there. The fire blue is still in tact on the magazine follower. It’s possible the metal parts were arsenal refurbished at some point. The stock is in good condition with minor dings throughout. There are noticeable chips around the wrist. The gun comes with a period-correct dust cover. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn and there is fouling in the grooves.
