12/7/22 – This is an excellent example of a National Match Springfield M1 Garand. The serial number on the receiver dates it to about 1957. Springfield-made barrel dated February of 1963. DOD proofs on the barrel and left side of the stock. Many of the parts are NM marked. The stock and trigger group are numbered and mismatched. There is very little actual finish loss on the gun, just some very minor high edge wear and some light scuffs around the muzzle. Some splotchy discoloration on the gas tube under the handguard. Excellent wood stock with just a few tiny dings here and there and a coupe of small holes filled in on the top of the upper handguard. Mint bore. Muzzle reading: 0. Throat reading: 1.
