3/29/23 – This is an excellent example of a Walther K.43 Rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is all matching and has the proper Waffen proofs throughout. Most of the gun has a late-war phosphate finish, but the barrel is blued giving it a really nice dual-tone appearance. It has retained virtually all of its original finish with some spotty discoloration on the phosphate parts (typical for these finishes). The stock is not numbered (correct for late-war) but is waffen proofed on the wrist and on the left side of the butt stock. It is dated 1944 under the butt plate. There appear to be light sanding marks on the stock here and there, but according to research, it was typical for late-war stocks to have sanding witness marks as the factories were rushing them out the door. The bore is mint. Comes with one period-correct magazine.
