6/1/23 – This is an excellent example of a “dot 44” Waffenwerke Brunn K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper waffen proofs throughout, but the bolt was renumbered to match the rest of the rifle. Comes with an original cleaning rod and leather sling. There are no visible waffen proofs on the stock, but there is a faint “dot” marking on the underside of the butt stock. The metal parts have retained about 95% of their original finish. Generally, there is minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges in general. Some tiny spots of light oxidation and patina here and there. Light spotty oxidation on the butt plate. No major damage to the wood furniture, but they do show the typical signs of use and wear. Minty bore.
