7/10/24 – This is an excellent example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is “United States Property” marked, has the proper “FJA” inspection stamp, and has a faint cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. Proper High Standard barrel. The gun has retained about 95% of its original parkerized finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle, front edges of the slide and frame, and some minor thinning and brown patina on the front strap. Fitted with a set of very nice period-correct reddish plastic grips. Comes with one post-war magazine. The rifling in the bore is a little worn with tiny pitting in the grooves.
