5/4/23 – This is a very nice example of an original Colt 1911A1 rig from 1943. The pistol is all original with matching numbered slide and frame. Correct inspection proofs on slide and frame, and proper Colt barrel with ‘G’ under lug. Original parkerized finish shows standard high edge wear from the holster, and a bit of general dulling of the front strap. Excellent grips and strong bore. Magazine is marked ‘R’ on toe. The rig is complete with an excellent ’44 dated Boyt holster, as well as a canvas belt and mag pouch.
