09/28/2024 – For sale is an M1 Garand made at the Springfield Arsenal prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor. The rifle is in great condition overall with most of the rifle being “parts correct.” The metal retains a nice, smoothed parkerized finish without any corrosion. The stock is in equally nice condition without any cracks or breaks. The stock has a SA/GHS stamped on the left side with a large Orgnance stamp. The bore is bright with great rifling but is frosted. The muzzle erosion reads a 2 and the throat erosion is 0. The rifle is nearly parts correct but the trigger guard is an earlier trigger guard than what should be seen on this production run.
