4/15/22 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1939. The gun is all matching except for the side plate and trigger. You’ll notice the trigger is too early for this gun, as it has a straw-colored finish. In any case, the gun has the proper “S/42” factory code on the toggle and the proper “Eagle 63” Nazi military acceptance proofs. It has retained about 96-97% of its original finish. There are just hints of thinning on the grip straps and areas of very minor wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. A couple of tiny dots of oxidation on the barrel. Comes with an excellent set of un-numbered wood grips and a period-correct “Eagle 83” proofed magazine that is not matching to the gun. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
