4/30/24 – This is an excellent condition example K98 bayonet from WW2. The bayonet comes with a matching numbered scabbard and original leather frog, as shown. The bayonet blade is excellent with most of the original blued finish intact and clean. There’s mild finish loss mostly near the tip and no signs of sharpening on the edge. The base of the blade is maker stamped, serial numbered, and dated on the spine. Mild finish loss and natural patina on the hand guard and push button / release button but no major issues. Nice original grips as well. The scabbard has no dents and excellent finish. Light surface wear on the frog but no major issues. The frog is maker stamped with what looks like a 1942 date.
