1/11/22 – This is an excellent example of an Erfurt Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1918. The gun is all matching, has Erfurt proofs throughout, and has the proper Imperial German acceptance markings on the right side of the slide. There are small “Crown RC” markings on many of the parts. The gun comes as a rig with a 1918-dated Imperial-proofed holster, Imperial Luger tool, and two mismatched but period-correct wood bottom magazines. There is light cracking in the leather throughout, the closure strap is a little weak, and the lift strap is missing. The gun has retained about 97% of its original finish. There is just very minor wear on the side plate and side rails. Tiny dots of freckling on both grip straps. There is a very small area of minor discoloration on the side plate and a couple of very light scratches on the left side of the frame. Comes with excellent matching-numbered Imperial-proofed wood grips. The bore is mint. NOTE: The hold-open does not work properly but does work if you manually push up on the mag bottoms.
