8/21/23 – This is an excellent example of a DWM Artillery Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. It is all matching with the proper Imperial proofs. It comes as a rig with a matching-numbered magazine, a matching-numbered wood stock, a very nice 1917-dated holster, cleaning rod, leather harness, and leather shoulder strap. The gun itself has retained about 97% of its original finish with just very minor wear around the muzzle and on the side plate. While there is very little finish loss, there are areas of very light spotty oxidation throughout, most noticeable along the barrel and on the grip straps. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips – small chip in the upper corner of the left panel. Excellent bore with great rifling.
