7/26/22 – This is an original WW2 Kriegsmarine dagger. The dagger has an etched blade and comes with the original scabbard and a silver portepee. The blade is in great condition with crisp etchings on each side. There are a few small areas of speckling wear and mild surface corrosion, but no deep pitting nor any major issues. Great overall blade with an E&F Horster maker stamp. The leather stopper is still intact. The handle has no cracks or chips and a tight wound chord. The pommel and hand guard show some surface patina and some aging wear but no excessive damage. The portepee is in great shape with a tight knot and clean rope. The scabbard has some mild surface rub wear throughout the exterior – as if someone buffed the surface slightly. There are no dents however, and overall the scabbard is in great shape.
